Barnes & Noble (BKS)- Liberty Media Corp. said it’s offered to buy in a deal valuing the bookseller chain at about $1 billion. Terms call for the purchase of Barnes & Noble at a price of $17 a share. A committee of Barnes & Noble directors will consider the offer.
Foot Locker(FL) : Reports Q1 (Apr) earnings of $0.60 per share, $0.16 better than the Thomson Reuters consensus of $0.44; revenues rose 13.3% year/year to $1.45 bln vs the $1.34 bln consensus. Merchandise inventory at the end of the first quarter was $1,159 million, which was $13 million, or 1.1 percent, higher than at the end of the same period last year.
Salesforce.com (CRM): Reports Q1 (Apr) earnings of $0.28 per share, excluding non-recurring items, $0.01 better than the Thomson Reuters consensus of $0.27; revenues rose 33.9% year/year to $504.4 mln vs the $482.5 mln consensus. Subscription and support revenues were $474 million, an increase of 35% on a YoY basis.
